THE 9TH ECOTRAIL DE PARIS ILE-DE-FRANCE - A DIFFERENT THEME FOR EACH DAY

Packed weekend will be kicked off by La Verticale

23 December 2015, Paris, France - In just over three months, from 17 to 20 March 2016, the 9th EcoTrail de Paris kicks off with the Verticale la Tour Eiffel, an ascent race in the Eiffel Tower, on Thursday but the weekend is packed with a variety of other events and competitions.

The 2nd Verticale la Tour Eiffel will start the festivities on Thursday. In total 100 runners will compete in this one of a kind race to the top of one of Europe's most famous landmarks.

The Saturday is devoted to performance and timed events; The EcoTrail project was born out of the organisers' desire to create a cross-country race close to the city of Paris and the 'TRAIL 80KM' starting at 12:15 is the ultimate result. With its finish on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower and more than 90% of the route on unpaved tracks, it is the ultimate way for the 2.500 participants to discover the local nature and cultural heritage by foot.

Everyone is invited to participate and discover nature on Sunday. A variety of recreational and sportive hikes and walks are organised; participants can select any of these events to enjoy nature at their pace.

A total of 13.000 participants is expected to participate in the EcoTrail events. For more information, please download the attached PDF file.
